Art Statement
I’ve been an active painter for more than 30 years. I first
drew and painted in an academic style. Over 20 years ago, I began
feeling
inspired by urban landscapes and environmental issues. In response,
I developed a series of structural, circular, and oval freehand
forms.
I use these forms as patterns in all my compositions. When I’m
working on a project, I’m very deep in my forms. Each painting
suggests to me the next composition. I continue until it tells
me to
start a new series. I use media such as drawings, paintings, installations,
and collage.
Art doesn’t represent life, it’s part of life. Art
is love and beauty, sleeping in the soul waiting to perform.
